DAY 1
On arrival you'll be collected from the airport by coach and transferred to your accommodation. After settling in, head off for a quick snoop around the world famous department store, Macy's, or sample the unique New York atmosphere around Times Square.
Day 2
After breakfast the group will start the day of at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Guggenheim itself is a stunning piece of art. In addition to works by Manet, Kandinsky, Picasso & Chagall, the museum owns Peggy Guggenheim's trove of cubist, surrealist & abstract expressionist works, along with the Panza di Biumo collection of American minimalist and conceptual art from 1960's & 70's. Next up is a trip up the Empire State Building, the world's most iconic skyscraper, whose observation decks afford awesome views of the frenetic activity below. After lunch (not included), you'll take the Staten Island Ferry across to the Statue of Liberty, New York's most famous symbol, but which was actually a gift from the people of France in 1886. Returning to the mainland - taking in the glorious views of the Manhattan skyline en-route - you can take a quick look around bohemian Greenwich Market before making your way back to the accommodation.
Day 3
Spend the morning at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), an extraordinary exhibition space holding what is regarded as the world's greatest collection of twentieth century art, including works by Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse and Warhol, as well as some exceptional photography. After lunch, the spectacular Metropolitan Museum of Art awaits, starring another outstanding collection of European painting, as well as African and Islamic art
Day 4
Today you'll have a short period of time to nose around the world famous Bloomingdales store for some last-minute souvenir shopping, before departing for home. Arrive back to the UK the following morning.
