Palazzo Ducale
This beautiful palace was a symbol of Venetian power as the residence of the Doges and government. The palace houses a collection of sculptures and paintings, including the magnificent Triumph of Venice by Tintoretto.
Galleria di Palazzo Cini
This gallery houses an impressive collection of Tuscan paintings, including pieces by Bernardo Daddi, Filippo Lippi, Piero di Cosimo and Pontorno.
Galleria dell'Accademia
The Academy of the Fine Arts is situated near the Grand Canal on Accademia Dorsoduro. It is one of the most comprehensive collection of Venetian art in Europe with works by Tintoretto, Bellini and Titian.
Ca'd'Oro
The Ca'd'Oro is home to one of the city's most varied art collections, the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti. One of the gallery's main attractions is the St Sebastian by Mantegna. Also of notability are the canvases by Titian and Tintoretto.
Collezione Peggy Guggenheim
This is the city's second most popular museum after the Accademia, housing a most impressive collection of twentieth century art. Artists include Picasso, Braque, Chagall, Pollock, Duchamp, Giacometti, Picabia and Maigritte.

Pitti Palace
This splendid gallery is housed inside the Pitti Palace. Inside the palace numerous works of art by Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck, Veronese and Tintoretto can be found.
Uffizi Gallery
World renowned, this gallery houses Italy's most famous paintings including works by all the greatest Italian masters.
Galleria dell' Accademia
Here you will find Michelangelo's original statue of David, which was moved to the gallery in 1873 for its protection. (A copy of it stands in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, where the original once stood).
The Bargello Museum (Museo del Bargello)
This building, built in 1255, was the city's first town hall but was later used as a court and prison. It now holds a rich sculpture collection including Michelangelo's first great work, The Drunken Bacchus (1499). Also here is Donatello's David (1440) and the two trial panels by Ghiberti and Brunelleschi depicting the Sacrifice of Isaac.
